From 2002 until 2008, Jason Carnes has reaped the rewards of being the fastest over-30 BMX Pro in the Sport.  The class is called VET PRO; and is made up of past racing legends, BMX Hall of Famers and over-the-hill AA-pros. The class enables 30-something pros to still live the dream, and is one of the fastest growing Pro classes in the ranks.
       ...and for 6-consecutive years, Redline’s Jason Carnes was Ruler Supreme.

Carne$ (spelled with the dollar-sign) also drives the Redline rig all around the U.S.A., setting up the pits and promotional displays at each national event. Rarely in BMX has there been a more dedicated BMXer—who will drive up to 3,000 miles during the weekdays (stopping off at 24 Hour Fitness after a 500-700 mile drive that day) and still be able to win on Saturday.

The stories behind Jason Carnes’ trip to the top of BMX are many--from his tour of duty in the Army during the first Desert Storm, to his legendary antics as a young ‘n wild BMX amateur. ...many of them unprintable here.

In 2008, Jason was hired by M-TV to star in one of their episodes of "MADE."  His job was to make a hot, blonde girly-girl in to a BMX racer - and he did a great job. Before filming the episode, he'd suffered from a crazy racing accident in Phoenix, and then again during the filming of the show, he crashed again hard at an ABA national in Georgia. It was the Georgia crash that ultimately put an end to his six years of  Vet Pro domination - keeping him out of the hunt for the No.1 title. Jason is still fighting his way back from those injuries, while continueing to do his main job as Redline on-road TM and truck driver.

All of these lessons learned, backed up by hard work and consistent training, along with a job that enables him to get to the races, Jason Carnes continues to live the dream.
