In 2008 - at the Beijing Olympics, longtime Redline racer DAMIEN GODET was one of three fast Frenchmen chosen to represent their country for the BMX debut. And Damien did France proud, by making it to the Elite Mens finale' -- where he was part of the huge turn-2 pileup with Silfaso Nhalapo. While his 8th place score may seem like nothing to brag about if it were just any "regular" BMX national -- just making it to the Olympics, and better yet - making it to the main event, is definitley a highlight on anybody's BMX resume.
Damien continues to be France's best hope on the oversized UCi Supercross courses, and is usually one of the fastest time-trialers in the World. Aboard his Redline Flight bike, Godet is always a factor to contend with on the UCi World Cup circuit.
2012 Olympics? Damien Godet sure hopes so.
