Hailing from small town, middle America (St Cloud, Minnesota to be exact), Alise Post has been hailed as the most successful modern-day female BMX racer to swing a leg over a bike. Alise started racing BMX at the age of 6 and immediately fell in love with the sport. Her older brother Nick was an avid racer and pushed to get her started in the sport. After a few practice sessions, Alise entered her first race and won.   ...and the rest, as they say, is history.

Her love of racing pushed her to win her first Girls Overall National Championship at the young age of 10, beating out thousands of other girls for the title. Just to make sure no one thought it was a fluke, she repeated the feat three more times - finishing up her amateur career with well over 100 National victories and numerous Local, State, Regional and World Champ titles.

Needing a new challenge, and despite the season being well under way, Alise decided to make the jump to the pro ranks mid-season in 2006. She turned 15 three months prior (the minimum age to enter the Pro category) and went for it. After taking two third place scores in her first two races, it didn't take her long to win her first Pro race; standing atop the podium in just her third try. Alise finished up her rookie season with 5 wins; enough to earn her ABA's Women's Pro National No.1 title. At 15 years old, Alise became the youngest to ever win the Pro Championship. And, for the icing on the cake, "The Beast" was voted "Rookie Pro of the Year" by the readers of BMXer Magazine - an honor that, up until now, had been exclusively reserved for males.

Following her start in 2006, Alise won the Women's Pro National Champion title again, but this time by a landslide. This feat made her only the third woman to win it in back-to-back years.

In 2008, Alise had a bit of a reality check. Injury, new competition and sponsorship woes brought new challenges to her. By the end of the year she was once again up for the No.1 title, until a fluke crash in the last qualifying round at the Grandnational Championship Finals took her out of contention. Though she still got a Number 2 on her plate out of the year, she is definitely looking to get back on the top slot for 2009 - aboard a brand new bike and for an all new sponsor; Redline Bicycles.

No.1 title chases aside, Alise has loftier goals. After watching BMX make its debut at the Beijing, China Olympic Games in 2008, and despite the fact that she was one of the best female BMX racers the US had to offer, Alise was too young to be eligable for the most prestigious race on Earth. Despite missing the 19-years-of-age cutoff by about 12 months, she looks forward to 2012 - and had three years to train and focus for a shot at an Olympic Gold. By then, she'll be 21 and just entering her prime.
Expect, as usual, Post to make the most of her opportunities.

Away from the track, Alise has exceled at just about everything she tries. An all-star in gymnastics and track, Alise had caught the eyes of several Division 1 colleges while still in high school. Amazingly, she found the time between all of her extra-curricular activities and BMX travel to maintain a straight A report card.

Alise knows what it takes to succeed, her drive and work ethic are unparalleled. She is the total package - smart, good natured, outgoing, attractive, and, above all, a champion.
