There were 12 races in the series.  Dave had to place in the top 5 to win the series overall.  Some of the top racers in the U.S. showed up unexpectedly to compete such as Sid Taberlay and Tinker Juarez, which affected the points.  Eric and Dave stuck to the game plan to keep the race under control until the last 5 laps when a group of 5 riders peeled away.  Sid made a surge and created a gap, which Tinker and Dave tried to bridge.  Tinker didn't want to pull so Dave hammered to the finish and placed second behind Sid.  Eric was exhausted from the fast pace in the beginning and finished 5th in the race and 5th overall.  Dave won the series overall.   Way to go Steven K Sports!
