Regala emozioni Manuel De Vecchi in Norvegia a tutti i tifosi italiani! Grandissima prestazione, un missile nel primo rettilineo e pulito in tutto il giro.

La gara si svolge in 3 giorni: venerdì e sabato BMX, domenica CRUISER.
Venerdì il capo squadra del Team Bmx Action Cremona è in forma strepitosa, parte sempre davanti e domina tutte le manches di qualifica, i quarti e anche in semifinale arriva primo davanti al campione europeo Van Der Biezen. Essendo nella prima semifinale inoltre ha la corsia 1 in finale!! Lì purtroppo esce in ritardo dal cancello e si ritrova arretrato. Nel primo rettilineo però esplode la sua forza e si riporta a ruota di Hamon che era in testa. In prima curva si affianca e prova il sorpasso, lotta per la prima posizione con Hamon ma ha la meglio il francese. Da lì una terza posizione sarebbe assicurata se non fosse per un piccolo errore nel terzo rettilineo che lo relega al 4° posto finale.
"Sono comunque contentissimo! Sono finalmente tornato dopo l'infortunio alla spalla che mi ha tenuto fuori un mese. Mi sono preparato al massimo per il mondiale e qui volevo fare un test per vedere la mia condizione. Sto bene! Mi sono giocato la vittoria con Hamon, peccato per la partenza in finale altrimenti potevo farcela! Sono comunque contento per il miglioramento complessivo nel primo rettilineo e sul cancello"

"Sabato non stavo bene come venerdì perchè ero un po' stanco e avevo le gambe un po' più lente. Sono comunque arrivato 2° ai quarti. In semi ero terzo già qualificato per la finale ma il lettone Veide cadendo mi ha sbalzato dalla bici in seconda curva e ho dovuto fare il terzo e quarto rettilineo sganciato! Proprio a pochi metri dall'arrivo non sono riuscito a tener testa al ritorno del danese Terkildsen, ero ancora sganciato e ho perso la finale =("

Anche la gara di domenica è stata vinta da Hamon, con Van der Biezen fuori ai quarti. Il titolo si giocava tra loro due e solo dopo l'arrivo si è saputo il campione europeo 2010: l'olandese Raymon Van Der Biezen, per soli 3 punti!!

"Domenica campionato europeo cruiser! Il tempo è stato clemente con la pioggia ma non con il vento. C'erano infatti raffiche fortissime laterali che rendevano il giro davvero molto molto pericoloso! Tante le cadute durante le gare dovute al vento. Io mi sono qualificato primo nelle mie semifinali e partivo in due in finale tra il vicecampione del mondo Bisseling in 3 e il campione del mondo junior 2009 Daudet in 1. Non sono mai riuscito a partire forte con il cruiser perchè scivolavo sempre sul cancello e anche in finale sono rimasto arretrato. Come con la BMX però sono riuscito a recuperare nel primo rettilineo e ad entrare in terza posizione in prima curva. Lì però Bisseling, che era in 2° posizione, è caduto e non sono riuscito ad evitarlo. Sono rimasto fuori dai primi 3 purtroppo ma ho lottato per il quarto posto con Gagnu e sono arrivato 4° anche con il cruiser.

Due quarti posti all'europeo mi soddisfano, resta ovviamente il rammarico perchè potevo vincere venerdì se partivo un po' meglio in finale, ma l'importante era recuperare la forma prima dei mondiali. Adesso sto bene e sono davvero carico per il contratto appena firmato con Carrera Jeans per un altro anno!!

4th IN BMX AND IN CRUISER IN NORWAY AT THE FINAL OF THE EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP 2010!

Great performance of Manuel De Vecchi in Norway!

On Friday he wins all the motos, the quarters and 1st in the semi in front of the new european champion Van Der Biezen. In the main Manuel has line 1 but he has a late hole shot. Anyway his first straight is really amazing and he can enter in the first corner first in contact with Hamon. He fights with Thomas for the winning but the French has more speed out of the corner.  A little mistake on the third straight of the italian makes him lose his third place. 4th at the finish line.

On Saturday Manuel is a bit tired and his legs are a bit slower than the first day. Anyway he gets 2nd at the quarters. In the semi he's 2nd in the second corner when Veide crashes on his back wheel! Manuel unlocks his pedal to not crash but he loses 1 position. He's 4th but he does 2 straight unlocked! At few meters from the finish line he loses the qualification for Terkildsen's recover!
Thomas Hamon won the main on Saturday too and the championship was in doubt until the last second. It was a fight between Hamon and Van der Biezen. The dutch champion won the title for only 3 points!! He's the new european champion 2010!!

"On Sunday the european championship cruiser.
Many competitors but the worst one was the wind! An amazing wind from the side, many crashes and the laps very dangerous! I won my semifinal and I was in line 2 in the main between the vice world champion elite 2009 Bisseling and the world champion junior 2009 Daudet. Unfortunately I had a bad feeling all the day with the cruiser on the gate because I was always sliding on the gate with the back wheel. And I had a bad gate in the main too! I was anyway able to get back in the top 3 at the first corner but Bisseling crashed in front of me. I lost 2 places and I got 4th at the finish line. Hejine won the cruiser title 2010!

I'm very satisfied for my shape during this weekend and I feel ready for the worlds. A bit of disappointment for the mains because I lost good opportunities of winning on Friday and on Sunday.
