Dutch National Team receives their customized 2010 Flight frames

By the International team on February 19, 2010

The always impressive Dutch National BMX team is currently checking in for a month-long American invasion. For the four weeks, the Dutch Army will be spending time in San Diego, California - at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista. Their training regimen will include time on Chula Vista's Beijing-replica Supercross track, as well as plenty of gym work.

Following a recent 3-year renewal of their contract with the Accell-owned Redline Bicycles, the Dutch National BMX team is ensured that they'll be aboard Flight bikes for the 2012 Olympic games in London.
In '08, The Netherlands qualified a total of four BMXers to Beijing - three Elite Men and one Elite Woman. Already set with dominating scores from last years' UCi series - including a Supercross victory in Denmark, they are again on target to qualify the maximum number of racers in 2012.

Upon their arrival in sunny California, each of the ten member National team will be receiving their customized Dutch Flight frames. Painted the same orange as Redline's popular 2010 Proline Expert, the Dutch team will again match nicely with their new orange and black Troy Lee helmets, pants and TLD~Redline jersies. Of all the National BMX programs, the Dutch squad continues to be the most professional looking one out there - matching the Netherland's "royal orange" theme from head to toe, as well as pedal to grip.

For 2010, the Dutch National team has made a few adjustments to their 10-rider roster - including the addition of past multi-time Amateur World Champion and Jr Elite contender Jelle vanGORKOM. The three Beijing Olympian men remain on board, to train and tutor the younger additions.

Here is your Dutch National Team roster for 2010:

Look for the Dutch National Team at ABA's Winternationals in Phoenix, Arizona - on March 6 & 7th. They will be easy to spot ... just look for the blazing flash of orange, out front. On the impeccible Black Mountain BMX track, the Dutch Army is hoping to do what they consistently did during last years' UCi Supercross series - and that is, fill half or more of the gate with orange Redline bikes.

B
e sure to stop by the Redline pits to meet them in person and gather autographs from three 2008 Olympians and seven Dutch Olympic hopefuls.
