XBR Summer series - Lachlan HarveyPosted by Redline Australia on February 01, 2010Lachlan HarveyRedline race report EventXBR Summer seriesWeather very sunny and hot. We left on Thursday night for the drive down to Sydney which took us 11 hours. When we got there we dropped Jacob (our bro) off at the motel then we went to Liverpool and did some gates. Round 1 Liverpool: - In my motos on 20” I went pretty good getting 1sts and 2nds. On cruiser I got all firsts. In my 20” final I had a good gate but was on the outside of Mitchell who took me up on the berm which allowed another kid to come under me and Mitchell, down the second straight I tried to catch up but the two other kids were too far ahead by then but I kept on trying and had to settle for third. Round 2 Hawkesbury: - It was a really fast track that had a steep start gate. In my cruiser motos I got 1 first and two seconds but everybody had to drop a moto because of a crash. In my 20 inch class I went pretty good having hard heats but made it into the final. In my final I had a good start but was on the outside and I got cut up on the first corner then on the second corner I tried to go for the pass but the corner was too tight so I lost a bit of speed but I ended up with second. Round 3 Manly: - The track at Manly was nice and flowing but we had to wear flat pedals there which were good for me because I was pretty good with them. In cruiser I got two firsts a second and a third, on 20” I won all my races including my final. Round 4 MacArthur: - It had a pretty flat track which had some pretty awesome jumps on it. In my 20” the racing was pretty hard but I got 2 seconds and a first. In my final I was on the outside and I got taken up on the corner and then I followed Mitchell around the track trying to pass him but I got really close to him down the last straight but I almost but he still got the win. In cruiser I won all my races except from one which was the extra moto. Round 5 Castle hill: - This was a very fast downhill track that was a fun track to jump. In cruiser I got second, first, second, first. In 20” I got first, second and another first. The final before mine was the b- final but the gate didn’t drop for them so when I got on the gate I was a bit nervous, I didn’t get a too good of gate and got squeezed out but I gained some positions on the berm and then I passed somebody on the next straight but couldn’t pass the other two so I had to settle for third. Overall results were 1st in Cruiser & 2nd on 20” The event was run great, Thanks Gav (XBR) Redline & Rush Industries. |
