XBR SUMMER SERIES - Saya SakakibaraBy Redline Australia on February 01, 2010Name: Saya Sakakibara Comment Day 1 Liverpool: Moto two: I had an OK start and came out in second. The plan was to high-low Jiye on the second corner. It worked! But I didn’t block my line so he got past. I came second. Moto three: I was in lane seven and came out in second. Justin was in first. I followed him all the way around and all I was doing was getting further away from him. I had to settle for second. Semi Finals: I chose lane one. I had a great start and I squeezed in to the middle. I squeezed out Jiye. Jasper was in first. He squeezed in so I had to pull on the brakes. Then I went on the inside of him on the first corner and I was coming first. I pedalled so that so no one could get me. I stayed in first the whole way and I got first. Final: I had lane five. I had a pretty good start and came out in third. Will came on the inside on the first corner. I caught up with him on the second straight anyway. I had to pedal hard to keep that third. On the last straight Will tried to catch up but I crossed the line in front of him. I came third. Day 2- Hawkesbury: Moto two: I had a good start and had some good pedals down that start hill and came out in first. I had the inside lane so I pushed Jasper up. I pumped my way through the third straight. Semi: I had a bad start and Kyle squeezed Jiye and Jiye squeezed me. I had nowhere to go I went off the track. I came last and didn’t make it to the final. I was a bit upset that I got pushed off the track but that’s BMX ..... Night 3 Manly: Moto one: I had a bad start. But I still came out in second. My foot kept slipping off the pedal. Around the fourth straight. Manual, pump I am getting closer. On the fifth straight the commentator confused me with my brother and called me KAMAKAZI Kai. It was hilarious. I came second. Moto two: I had a good start and I squeezed to the inside. Jiye came out in front. I tried to catch up. Now I am on the sprint section. I sprinted but I couldn’t catch up. I came second. Moto three: I had lane seven. I had a good start and I came out in front. I love it when I come out in front. Down the fourth straight I jumped the first step up then gained speed. I am on the sprint section no one has past me. That means I got first. Final: I chose lane one. “Riders ready watch the gate...pi, pi, pi, pi”. I had the best start out everybody else. I squeezed in to the middle and I thought I will be first around the first corner but Justin had the stronger pedals. Going around the second corner, Justin is in first and I am in second. I pedal as hard as I can to catch up but there was no chance. I settled for second. Night 4 Macarthur: Moto one: I had a bad start but came out in second. Jiye was in first. No one behind me was close to me. On the fourth straight I jumped a few jumps but I cased them. That felt pretty good anyway. I came second. Moto two: I had lane six. I had a bad start again. Jasper and Jiye got in front. On the fourth straight I caught up with Jasper. And got him on the inside on the fourth corner. I came second. Moto three: The gate is down. Jiye and Justin came out in front fighting for the first spot. Then CRASH! Justin fell over! Luckily I went past him without crashing into him. On the fourth straight I jumped again. It felt good. I came second. Final: I chose lane one. I had a great start but Justin and Jiye got an even better one. Around the third corner we go they are still fighting and I am in third. Down the last straight pump, pump, pump. I pedalled to the line. I came third. Day 5 Castlehill: Moto one: I had lane eight and got a good start. Justin and Jiye got in front. Koyu tried to get in the inside of me but I held him back. On the third straight I jumped some jumps and over jumped them all. On that race whatever I jumped, I over jumped. I kept my place and came third. Moto two: I had a good start and came out in second. On the third corner Koyu went on the inside of me. I couldn’t jump the third straight. OH NO! I have to catch up. I thought. So on the last corner I high-lowed him. We were fighting down the last straight. Then I got to the finish line in front of him. I got second. Moto three: I had a good start and came out in front. On the third straight I thought I didn’t have any speed so I jumped so sketchy. But I kept my place and came first.
