Comment
On the afternoon of the 2nd, the Nerang nationals started and I was already quite tired after racing the Champ bikx in the morning.  I had lane 8 in my first moto but came out well. I had a good first straight and was in 2nd into the first corner. I stayed smooth for the rest of the lap and got 2nd behind Peter Little.

I had an alright gate in my second moto, but cased the first straight because of the head wind. I slowed down when I cased and let a rider come through on the inside, but took a high-low and came back to the lead. I didn’t do too bad after that and won the race.

I twisted my crank when I came out of the gate in my third moto and came out late. I still jumped the first straight alright and was in 3rd around the first corner. I came through the second straight good and was going for a pass on the third straight, but cased a manual and went untidy. I went off the track. I finished 7th.
In my last moto of the day, I came out well but cased the first straight and was behind into the first corner. I took a high low on the first corner and out myself into 3rd. I found a good way through the second straight and did it well. I stayed quite smooth and finished 3rd. The rest of the racing was in day 2.
We had two more motos on day 2.

In my 5th moto I was out of the outside. I came out alright but got passed by Peter Little down the first straight. Another rider came up the inside but I came through with a high-low and pushed through. I got a clean 2nd.
In my last moto, I got a good start and was in front down the first straight, but the wind caught me and I nose cased the first straight. That left the door open for Connor Hall to get through. I caught up to him throughout the track but couldn’t get past and got 2nd.

It started raining very heavily before our semi finals, but when it died down, we started semis.
I had a good start out of lane 2 in my semi, but Kyle Borresen and Calob Green got in front on the first straight. I was in 3rd around the first corner. I stuffed up the second straight a bit but I held on to it and got 3rd.

In my final, I came out good, but wasn’t the fastest down the first straight and was in 4th around the first corner. I got Calob Green on the inside and got myself into 3rd. On the third straight, I was concentrating on getting infront so much that I pumped nearly the whole rhythm and got into 1st on the last corner. I pushed through the last straight and won the race.

I was really happy with the result because I hadn’t won a race for ages and it felt really good.

I had a great time in Nerang.
