Dutch National Team heads to South France for Training

By Dutch National Team on January 15, 2010

Sunday, January 10, 2009:
I arrived in St. Maxime on Wednesday night after a long trip with Sander Bisseling and Anneke Beerten. We had to drive the team truck and trailer with all the bikes and stuff. So you can imagine we weren’t going very fast towards the Cote d’Azur!
We departed at 6AM and arrived in St. Maxime at 8:30PM, but we changed the Dutch cold and snow into the French sun, which gave me a very good feeling (around +5 degrees instead of -10). It was great to just ride on a track and do some sprints outside without the snow. Too bad the weather changed after one day and we got rain, not what we hoped for!
Today (Sunday) we have our first recovery day and weather is looking better for the next few days. As I type this right now, it's snowing here in St. Maxime - @#$%^*!!  Not much more to tell right now and updating is kind of hard because we don’t have internet in our apartments. We must go to the local Mc Donalds to get a internet connection, so ... guess where I am right now?!
Just found out James Stewart won the Supercross season opener in Anaheim.
Out…
