The Nerang weather held up for another day of racing action. It was actually EXTREMELY hot and humid today, a few people were almost passing out. My Minnesota tough held up though and I made it through alive =] . I felt reasonably good considering it was an early morning and won the time trials. I also won my three rounds (actually second at the line in my second round because I was a lazy bum and coasted the last straight) and got second lane choice to Lauren in the final. I got solid lane 4 and had a pretty decent gate actually. I ended up with the hole shot into the first turn and was winning the final. However, coming out of the first turn, with my adrenaline pumping, I overshot the TINY step up on the second straight and really balled myself up, allowing Lauren to go by..and then Caroline....and then I just hung out in third as I was headed through the third and fourth straight since I wasn't too worried about the race. I really wish I wouldn't have stuffed up because it would have been cool to win down under, but I guess I am okay with a 2nd and a third for the weekend considering I prepared by getting sunburnt, shopping, and collecting seashells.

Me, Sam, nor Jared raced today (Sunday) because we were just too blown out and Reno is comin up quick and we decided we should have a rest. we are going to enjoy my last day here in Australia before I am back off to the US of A tomorrow afternoon.
