Knee Injury Part I: "The Crash"

By Alise Post#11 on November 18, 2011

This is a rather sad blog by me...kind of out of the ordinary. But, I think it really depicts how I was feeling when I encountered my second injury within the past year while being on an angressive upsweep in my riding. The timing of everything as the Olympic points were just starting was killing me and I couldn't stop thinking about how challenging I had just made my Olympic run. Having to dedicate AT LEAST 6 out  of the 12 months leading up to the Gamesto to getting my knee towork right again was devastating. I know being strong and being sure that everything is going to be alright are keys to success, but I think it's also important for people to know we're all human. There's always moments when we're vulnerable and our emotions can't hide. This was one of those moments for me.

Don't worry, there are more blogs to come regarding my injury and progress...and I think the rest are all much happier and embrace a more "alise'like" life approach :-) ....but for now, enjoy seeing another side of me.
