January, 2008In an eleventh-hour decision, Redline gives Denzel Stein the “OK” to turn pro. The DeSoto Kid immediately starts a single-A pro winning streak. February, 2008April, 2008USA Cycling’s race for the Stars & Bars comes to Denzel’s hometrack – Metroplex BMX in Texas. In front of his hometown crowd, Denzel wins on day one in front of his hometown fans, which turns him double-A. At the USAC race, he wins Jr Elite. April, 2008Carne$ gets picked by M-TV to be BMX coach for their “MADE” show. Filming begins in Valpraiso, Indiana (home of Orville Redenbaucher), and Jason’s job is to ”make” a girly-girl (Courtney Jurick) in to a BMX racer. She had no idea what she was in for.
May, 2008Olympic bikes begin to appear – with custom 3-tone Country themes for Italy and France. The Norway and UK federations opted for custom paint jobs – with Shanaze’s Union Jack paint scheme getting the most looks.
June, 2008Two days before the Olympic Trials race, Redline’s Bubba Harris crashes during practice on the OTC’s replica track, and breaks his “good” ankle. Our hopes for USA team qualification vanish instantly. August, 2008With a total of eight Redline bikes – four from The Netherlands, and one each from France, Italy, Norway and the UK. Godet and Van der Beizen go all the way to the main, but get tangled in the 2nd turn pile-up. Shanaze holeshots Womens main but is passed by France's Anne-Caro in the first turn. Goin' for “gold or nothing” in the last turn she ends up slammin’ Beijing asphault. September, 2008Now as Redline's main AA-pro, Denzel takes the first win of his AA-pro career in Reno, NV.. ...same place he took his first pro win of his career. November, 2008Redline brings in four of their eight Olympians for the ABA Grands – Shanaze, Damien, DeVecchi and DeWilde. Right after accepting the Golden Crank for “Rookie Pro of the Year,” Denzel Stein lawn-darts in practice over the pro jump and breaks his wrist – abruptly ending his weekend. He still ends up No.5 for the season. December, 2008Kim Hayashi finishes out her ninth season with Redline by getting much needed shoulder surgery. Her and Redline mutually part ways after nine great years of service. December, 2008
Redline’s Coryn Rivera takes her umpteenth Stars & Bars jersey. Two weeks before Nationals, ex-Redline am Logan Owen got all of his bikes stolen from his garage, so Redline stepped up to offer him a Conquest for the weekend – to which Logan responded to by winning his class (again).
