Redline TM Greg Hill starts the year off with an impressive Amateur squad - Eric Kleist, Chris Powell, Mikey Hanner and Corky Gainsford.
August, 1997
John Purse takes his Redline Proline to the top of the World, winning the UCI World Champs in Canada. SBS celebrates by making a two-of-a-kind white Proline with the World Champ rainbow stripes and matching padset and jersey.
October, 1997
Redline's first cyclocross team kicks off what becomes a long standing tradition of winning.
November, 1997
Redline debuts their proto-type triple-clamp forks, and starts a whole-new revolution and controversy. Scott Clark is inducted into the BMX Hall of Fame. The sad part is, more people know him for his part in the movie RAD than they do as a Redline pro. By the end of Thanksgiving weekend, John Purse has added his first Golden Crank Award and ABA No.1 Pro plate to his resume.
December, 1997
Redline's first formal cyclocross team rules. They appear on the cover of Velo News, and wins two more National titles in Denver.
