Redline debuts the RL-20II, a state of the art freestyle bike with twin top tubes that wraps around the headtube, and integrated rear standing platforms on the bottom chainstays. Redline accurately describes it as "exotic." Past No.1 Pro in the NBA, Scott Clark, is hired as Redline's top pro.

Flight cranks are now available in White.
September, 1985
Steve Giberson, ex-editor of BMX ACTION magazine, is hired as Redline Team Manager.
November, 1985
The ABA starts the official BMX Hall of Fame and Redline's founder is their first Industry Inductee.
December, 1985
The 1986 line of Redlines arrive, in a trend setting variety of colors ranging from turquoise to red to hazard yellow to "radberry" (a sort of purple).
