 Suntour comes on board as the first official cosponsor of Team Redline. 

March, 1980

 Arizona: Mighty Stu gets handed the keys to a customized Van, his prize for being No.1 Pro. Redline looks into having bikes produced in Japan and gives the bike manufacturers there a lesson or two in heli-arc welding.

April, 1980

 The MX-II and Microline frames round out Redline's line-up for all sizes of riders. 

May, 1980

 Redline prints their first catalog, introducing their first four complete bikes. Unknown at the time, these Catalogs would someday go for big bucks on E-Bay ... that is, once personal computers and the internet are invented.

June, 1980

Teaming up with the ABA, Redline brings the BMX World the Redline Summer Tour starting off in Arizona in June and ending up six nationals later in South Carolina come August. The cool sign-of-the-times prize at each race? A Redline belt buckle!
